At core, is there truly any other trust than in Self and Universe?

I find there are times I haven't even trusted myself in the past (ok even in the present). And the universe? Hmm, too big for me :)

As a person who rarely trusts himself and the universe, I can say that when I have affirmed to myself, that I DO trust in the universe, I felt so much freer, even safer.
But then there's a paradox. If I trust in myself and the universe, that is good.
But if I don't trust in myself and the universe, can I still trust it? Or will bad things happen while not trusting the universe?
:)..all good questions, rhythmspring..all about the trusting, yes? All...I love the paradoxes. Live for 'em.

When we trust our self, fully trust our self we then will trust all others.
